Unilan provides Argentine wool to the global textile industry. It is one of the main exporters of Argentina in greasy, scoured and combed wool (tops).
Industrial plant is located in the city of Trelew, Province of Chubut, Patagonia, south of Argentina. The mill is equipped with the latest cutting edge technology, being the most modern of Latin America. Equipped with most modern scouring line, combing machines and automated systems that allow greater reliability in the traceability of our products. The company reinvests every year in order to produce the best quality possible. It has an installed capacity of 6.000.000 kilos of tops per year, ranging from finer to coarser wool (18 to 40 microns).

Year after year, the firm evolved and grew bigger which meant the construction of its own scouring and combing mill to produce scoured and tops products with more added value. In late 2016, Unilan started to look to expand its horizons in the wool industry, to add even more value to the product. Thats when it decided to install a Superwash production line that became fully operational in October 2017. Superwash is a special treatment given to the wool in order to avoid wool shrinking when used for any future textile fabrics (ex. Sweaters, socks, etc.). For the record, this is the only superwash production line installed in Argentina, giving us a chance to offer a higher added value to our customers.
